The Problem

Why RVs and Stick-Built Fail Texas Landowners

RVs fail in the Texas heat

Standard RVs cook in July, leak in summer storms, and rust through ten years before a steel envelope shows wear.

Stick-built takes a year

Traditional rural construction runs six to twelve months and burns through your budget on materials and labor delays.

Cheap conversions overheat

Shed conversions skip closed-cell foam and undersize the HVAC. The container is fine; the build kills it.

Off-grid sites need a real plan

Pad prep, septic, utility access — rural builds get ugly fast when the builder has never worked off-grid.

What Texas Buyers Say

★★★★★

"Bought the 53ft 2-bedroom flagship for our property in Canyon Lake. Delivery was fast, the build quality is heavy — actual 14-gauge steel, not a shed conversion. Sat through a hailstorm last month and didn't blink."

★★★★★

"I wanted to finish the interior myself. The DIY kit arrived sealed, cutouts cut clean, rough-ins where they were supposed to be. Saved roughly $25K vs the turnkey and I got the layout I wanted."

★★★★★

"Bought a 40ft one-trip container for a storage build on our ranch. Inspection was honest, the unit was clean, delivery was on time. Will buy from them again."

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Are container homes legal in Texas?
Yes. Texas treats container homes as industrialized housing under TDLR rules; county and city codes govern setbacks, foundations, and permitting. Bexar, Comal, Guadalupe, and Kendall counties have all permitted container builds. HOA and deed restrictions may apply on specific lots — we help you check before quoting.
How much does a container home cost in Texas?
Our standard models run $30,000–$36,000 for a 20ft unit, $72,000–$77,000 for a 40ft 1BR/1BA, $79,000–$88,750 for the 53ft 2BR/1BA flagship, and $115,000–$120,000 for 3BR/2BA multi-container builds. DIY kits start around $18,000 for a shell. Empty containers run $3,500–$12,000 depending on size and grade.
Will a container home stay cool in Texas summer heat?
Yes, but only if it is built right. Every ATX unit ships with closed-cell polyurethane spray foam (R-13 to R-21 in the walls, R-30+ in the ceiling), a reflective ceramic roof coating, and a mini-split HVAC sized to the cubic footage. Standard shed-conversion containers without this spec will overheat; ours are engineered against it.
How wind- and storm-resistant are your container homes?
Our containers are wind- and water-tight certified and built from 14-gauge structural steel — substantially stronger than RVs or stick-built tiny homes. The interlocking steel envelope handles hurricane-force winds and the kind of hail that totals a roof. We document the wind rating per layout on the quote.
Can you deliver to remote rural land?
Yes — we deliver across Texas including remote Hill Country, ranchland, and hunting leases. We survey access road width, grade, gate clearance, and pad readiness before delivery. Tilt-bed and flatbed options handle most sites; difficult sites get a crane assist.
